This week, we hear from a bride friend of ours who celebrated her wedding with us last summer. Thanks for sharing!

Many little girls dream about their wedding days. The venue, the dress, the reception, and even the food are all carefully considered.  When each little girl grows up to be a bride, the expectations of a venue, dress and food are high.

I know the day I got engaged, I began looking for the ideal venue I had dreamed about when I was a kid. I dreamt of an outside wedding sitting at the foothills of the mountains, colorful flowers all around, my dress more beautiful than any other and my prince waiting to take me back to our castle. Now I know this seems like a fairy tale but it was what I saw as my wedding day.  A girl can dream big right?

I was a little worried about finding the venue of my dreams. However, when I found The Broadmoor, my dreams came true.  I found a spectacular view at the foothills of the Colorado Rockies, flowers of every color and a castle to call my own. Well, for at least a night or two.

A Broadmoor catering manager and my wedding coordinator assisted me in planning my big day. They helped me find the reception perfect venue that matched my ceremony. They helped me pick out the flowers that would match my eggplant purple decorations. For every little detail, they were there making my dreams come true.

With all of the incredible venues at The Broadmoor, it was hard to pick just one. When I saw the terrace at Cheyenne Lodge, it was the perfect view to the foothills of the Colorado Rockies; it was my dream-wedding location. The Colorado Mountains lit up when the sun hit them. It truly was a sight to see. I could not have asked for a more perfect location.

A benefit of the terrace was that the reception would be held right inside at Cheyenne Lodge. The venue went perfectly with our outside wedding. Everything from the chairs, tablecloths, glasses and centerpieces were flawless.

The Broadmoor fulfilled every expectation I had about my wedding day. My extravagant dream became reality. I truly felt like a little girl again and at the end of the night, my prince and I escaped away to our castle, The Broadmoor.

A big thank you to everyone who made our day so special.
